Universities play an important role in promoting sustainability, and a large number of stakeholders expect them to be sustainable organizations. However, this can only be achieved when the key factors for achieving this are identified. Accordingly, the main purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize the key success factors of a sustainable university. The research process consists of three stages: identifying the key success factors using the meta-Synthesis method, model design using theinterpretive - structural modeling (ISM) method, and prioritizing the factors using the analysis network process (ANP) method. This research is of mixed type (qualitative and quantitative). The first statistical population includes authoritative articles on foreign sites and the second statistical population consists of experts and university administrators. First, by reviewing the articles, 575 open codes were extracted in the form of 36 core codes and 9 categories (university governance and culture, social-participatory activities, educational activities, research and learning activities, environmental activities, stakeholders and resources, knowledge management, IT and quality, government and international relations, and performance monitoring and evaluation). Then, to design the model of these 9 factors, a questionnaire was prepared and provided to the experts, who identified the factor of government and international relations and the governance and culture of the university as influential factors in the stability of the university. Weight and priority of factors were determined by the analysis network process method. The factor of governance and university culture with the highest weight in the first priority, educational activities, research and learning activities, government and international relations, social-participatory activities, performance monitoring and evaluation, management Knowledge, IT and quality, environmental activities and stakeholders and resources were given the next priorities, respectively.
